you might have noticed the cleaner, spartan feel of the place :)

i've been thinking about moving to IkiWiki for a while now, and finally bit the bullet to make the switch. i like how it works conceptually, especially the integration with DVCS systems like git.

i've also been getting increasingly annoyed with the previous solution. while it does have its own appealing concepts, i feel it ultimately fails in execution. in practice i found it to be somewhat cumbersome and buggy.

i've modified a version of the ikiwiki-wordpress-import script that can parse an rss feed from the old nanoblogger install (which i should probably post somewhere to share...), but haven't gone through the hassle of actually importing it into the current setup. i've verified that it works, at least. i'll probably get around to that in the near future but no sense in waiting...
